Upper Colorado River Connectivity Meeting

Make Your Voice Heard!

Trout Unlimited STRONGLY supports the proposed Windy Gap By-Pass and improvements to the Fraser. We've been working for years to get these changes implemented. If implemented, the By-Pass and other related connectivity projects will help reconnect the Upper Colorado and reduce the impact Windy Gap Reservoir has had on the health of the River. Fishing in the area should improve significantly as the river returns to a more natural condition! For those who were unable to attend the meeting, your voice can still be heard. You had until August 31 to submit a comment on the initial scoping plan, but there will also be future opportunities to comment as the plan is solidified based on more study and research. An in-depth article about the meeting, including a history of the Windy Gap project, was published in the August 24, 2018 Winter Park Times. Pick up a copy of the free Winter Park Times at kiosks around the county, or click here for a link to the paper online.

We've kept this notice for the meeting up, even though the meeting is past, because it gives you an idea of the project's goals.
